SYHA fully supports multi-sport athletes.  Players are encouraged to play Fall sports with full support of head coaches (10u to 14u).

2023-24 Hockey Team Tryouts 

All Players Must Register for Tryouts:

All teams (TB, AA, A, B, C) for all divisions (10u, 12u, 14u, 16u, 18u) will be formed in Spring 2023 for the 2023-24 season.  All players need to attend these tryouts to be placed on a team for the 2023-24 season.

10u (2013 & 2014 birth years)
Tuesday 3/21 - 6-7pm - SCRF
Thursday 3/23 - 6-7pm - SCRF
Friday 3/24 - 6-7pm - SCRF

12u (2011 & 2012 birth years)
Tuesday 3/21 - 7:10-8:10 pm - SCRF
Wednesday 3/22 - 7:30-8:30 pm - SCRF
Thursday 3/23 - 7:10 to 8:10 pm - SCRF

14u (2009 & 2010 birth years)
Wednesday 4/5 - 5:45-6:45 pm - Saratoga Vernon Rink
Thursday 4/6 - 5:45-6:45 pm - Saratoga Weibel Rink
14u Tryout Registrations will have the option to sign up for an
Optional Checking Clinic (see dates and pricing on home screen)

16u / 18u (2005-2008 birth years)
Wednesday 4/5 - 8:15 - 9:15 pm - Saratoga Vernon Rink
Thursday 4/6 - 8:45 - 9:45 pm - Saratoga Weibel Rink

Tryout Requirements

1.  Candidates must register online and pay the $45 Tryout Fee:

2.  Candidates must have a current USA Registration (2022-23 USA Hockey Registration expires on 8/1/23).  Players who did not play for Schenectady Youth Hockey last season (2022-23), MUST bring a copy of their current USA Hockey Registration.  Click HERE to request a copy of your current USA Hockey Registration.
